About Us

When Nate Randall founded Ursa Major Consulting, he was determined to bring the same forward-thinking principles that guide dynamic organizations across industries into the employee benefits space. Drawing from his years of experience as a benefits consultant and manager for Milliman USA, Northern Trust, Washington Mutual and Safeway, Nate left his role as Head of Global Benefits and Employee Experience at Tesla Motors to develop the concept that has become Ursa Major Consulting.

​We believe that organizations of all sizes benefit when they collaborate with the brightest thinkers and integrate enterprising solutions. To drive results, we operate lean and implore independent and transparent principles. Our 
flat fee is designed to deliver nothing less than successful employee benefits outcomes for our clients.

Nate's dedication to engage consumers and influence employee benefits stems from his years as an accomplished leader in the evolving space. He brings his comprehensive knowledge of benefit plan analytics, compliance, design, innovation, management and strategy to the table at Ursa Major Consulting.

Nate works with thought-leaders, data, and entrepreneurs to solve benefits shortcomings. By utilizing outside-of-the-box thinking, he brings a fresh approach to the employee experience.
